New work for show at Mercer University, Voyage.

Two layers of waxed cotton sewn together with green thread.  Black thread placed inbetween the layers.

I put gesso on a couple of layers of bumwad paper.  Drawings made with charcoal and mechanical pencil.

Gesso, bumwad paper, colored pencil, pencil, thread.

Various works waiting on the table to be packed up.  

Layers

A lot of layers with waxed cotton and sheer fabrics.  Experimenting with marks made on the surface as well as what happens when marks made underneath.  The contrast of marks emulates atmospheric space.
